Brea Lopez to Open Season at Shasta Raceway Park

Vader, WA - Brea Lopez recently announced her intentions to make a bid for the WMRA title in 2007. With the start of her regular season a month away, Brea Lopez Motorsports will travel out of their home state of Washington to compete at the Shasta Raceway Park, located in Anderson, California, for her first racing event of the new season. The Shasta race is a Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) Event. Brea is no stranger to the Shasta 3/8 mile paved oval, having competed there on a few occasions the past two years. In September of 2005, Brea qualified 14th fastest and was racing to the front, when she was involved in a skirmish toward the latter portion of the race. Brea restarted from the back and finished a creditable 12th in the final rundown.
Brea, in announcing her plans to race at Shasta stated, " We have a fairly good history of racing at Shasta. My Grandfather Dan Press and I felt this would be a great opportunity to shake down our equipment and work on some different set-ups to prepare for the WMRA season opener at South Sound Speedway on April 28th. We realize we need to find as much seat time as possible and the race at Shasta will afford us the chance to do so."
