USAC held their first night of the  Indiana Midget Week tonight at Kamp Motor Speedway, Boswell Indiana.

Townsend started on grid 1 in his 8 lap heat race and won the race, giving him enough points to start from grid 2 in the nights 30 lap Feature race.

After the nights racing, BSL Team Crew Chief Justin Insley said that they missed the set-up on Townsends car, and that because the track was really slick, Bryce couldn’t ‘run the wall’ like the others were able to and on the restarts he (Townsend) was just ‘getting picked off’.

From www.midget25.co.nz:80/

Disaster has struck the USA tour!  The cars have not cleared customs yet, and are not expected to be released until Monday the 23rd July.  This means the first two races in Dodge City, Kansas on Saturday and Sunday are out for the team.  The next two races are in McCool Junction, Nebraska on Tuesday and Wednesday.   If the cars do get released on Monday, the team will have 693 miles to travel from Indianapolis, Indiana to the race track in McCool Junction, Nebraska.   Keep your fingers crossed they make it.
