Mosen to drive #71 Kunz/Bullet in 2007 USAC Series

MOSEN GETS GREEN LIGHT TO RACE IN THE USA

New Zealand speedway driver Brad Mosen will head back to the USA in May this year to compete in his second consecutive season of racing in the US.

The 19 year old Aucklander has signed a new deal with Keith Kunz Motorsport. The same team that Mosen drove for last summer.

This week both Pete Willoughby and Keith Kunz confirmed that Mosen will drive both a Pavement Midget and a Dirt Midget for the 2007 USAC National Midget Car Series. Mosen will get behind the wheel of the teams #71 house car at all the meetings this season.

Brad is an exciting young driver with a great future said Kunz, It is great to have him on the team again

Mosen is excited about the opportunity to drive for the Kunz team again and the added bonus of having the Kunz / Fontana house car and a pavement ride means a full schedule of racing for the young Kiwi.

Im real happy about the deal with Keith and Pete, its going to be great to drive for these guys again. Keith sets up a very good race car and I worked in well with the whole team last year. Driving the #71 car is pretty cool, Im excited.

The pavement drives are really important for me, any driver who wants to make the move to Indy or NASCAR racing needs to spend time in the seat and get as many laps on pavement as possible and the midget drive is a perfect place to start.

Mosen will test the pavement car with the Kunz team in May as soon as he arrives. The tests at Anderson and OReilly Raceway Park will give Mosen his first experience driving the Beast / Fontana midget on the pavement.

The season opens for Mosen on the ˝ mile OReilly Raceway Park, Indianapolis which is the first of 22 meetings scheduled over the 4 months he will be in the US.

The schedule includes races at the famous Knoxville track for the Midget Nationals, where Mosen set the quickest qualifying time last year, also Belleville Midget Nationals and the intimidating super quick Eldora Speedway.

Mosens drive in the Badger Series at Sun Prarie, Wisconsin is yet to be confirmed, however his focus will be with the prestigious USAC Series in the USA for both Pavement and Dirt racing.
