Townsend Wins North Island Championship Title Race
Palmerson North NZ March 10, 2007 - Auckalnd driver Bryce Townsend took out the 30 Lap North Island Midget Championship race at Palmerston North International Speedway tonight ahead of New Zealand Champion Michael Pickens, Michael Kendall, Shanye Alach and Steven Currie.
On the black slick ¼ mile track, Townsend took the lead away from former Champion Kendall on the 24th lap to take out his first feature race of the season.

Michael Pickens ended his New Zealand summer racing campaign on a high by taking out the final feature race of the 2006 - 07 season at Western Springs Speedway last night ahead of Shayne Alach, Shaun Insley, Carl Worboys and Bryce Townsend.
Pickens win, his 7th feature win of the season, secured for him and his Don Kay team owner, the Springs National Midget Series title ahead of Alach and Townsend.
