SANTOS TAKES 30-LAPPER AT IOWA SPEEDWAY

USAC PR, Newton, Iowa, June 19, 2008 - Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass. Ran down USAC Mopar National Midget Series point leader Brad Kuhn on the 19th lap and led the final 12 laps on Friday night’s 30-lap race at Iowa Speedway. Santos started third in the Santos Motorsports Beast/Esslinger Ford and trailed pole starter Kuhn for the first 18 laps around the 7/8-mile paved oval. Kuhn finished second to extend his point lead to 36 points going into a July 3 race at Toledo, Ohio. Darren Hagen finished third, ahead of Brad Sweet and Jerry Coons Jr. Kuhn’s fast qualifying speed was 136.287 mph.
