CLAUSON WINS KOKOMO & INDIANA MIDGET WEEK TITLE

USAC PR, Kokomo, IN. June 14, 2009 - Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. is the 2009 “Indiana Midget Week” Champion after winning Sunday night’s 30-lap series finale at the Kokomo Speedway. Clauson passed Dave Darland on lap 27 and led the final four laps to win an exciting 30-lap USAC Mopar National Midget race at the quarter-mile dirt oval in his All Star Performance/Bryan Clauson Racing Spike/Esslinger Ford. Clauson ended up with an eight point margin over Brad Kuhn in the final “Indiana Midget Week” standings. Darland took second in Sunday night’s feature, ahead of Kuhn, Cole Whitt and Kevin Swindell. Kuhn emerged with the Mopar National Midget point lead going into next Friday’s race at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. Ricky Ehrgott flipped during qualifying and was treated and released from St. Joseph’s Hospital.
